§ 11-3. County executive committees—Composition; election.

  • The county executive committee of each political party in Broward County shall consist of two (2) members, a man and a woman, from each precinct, who shall be called the precinct committeeman and committeewoman and who shall be elected for four (4) years at the first and second primaries in the year 1970 and every four (4) years thereafter. In precincts where any political party has an official registration of more than one thousand (1,000) qualified electors, an additional two (2) members, a man and a woman, may be authorized for each political party in such precincts. Each candidate receiving a majority of votes cast in the first primary election shall be declared elected. If no candidate receives a majority in the first primary, there shall be a second primary election, and the names of candidates shall be placed on the ballot as provided in § 100.091, F.S.
