§ 15-205. Definitions.
The following terms and phrases when used in this article shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning. Words used in the present tense shall include the future, and the singular number includes the plural, and the plural, the singular.

Rat-stoppage and rat-proofing. The terms "rat-stoppage" and "rat-proofing" shall mean and refer to the application and use of materials impervious to rat gnawing and clawing to prevent the ingress of rats into or upon buildings and structures from the exterior thereof or from one building or structure to another by closing all openings, cracks and holes in the exterior or party walls, doors, ground or first floors, basements, cellars, roofs and foundations, which may be reached by rats from the ground, by climbing or by burrowing.

Rat harborage. The term "rat harborage" shall mean the creation, existence, retention or propagation of any condition which provides or tends to provide shelter or protection for rats.
