§ 1-18. Travel expense allowance.

At his or her option, each county commissioner in and for Broward County, Florida, shall be entitled to receive travel expenses for travel within Broward County based on one of the following methods:

(a)

Two hundred dollars ($200.00) per month in lieu of all other travel expense allowance for travel within Broward County. The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized and empowered to determine and fix changes to the dollar amount of the travel expense allowance by resolution duly adopted by the board of county commissioners.

(b)

Receive travel expense reimbursement for travel within Broward County in accordance with existing rules of Broward County government.

(c)

Notwithstanding the foregoing, any member may elect to receive no amount for travel expenses for travel within Broward County.
