§ 1-156. Created; purpose; membership.

(a)

The Broward County Commission on the Status of Women (the "commission") is hereby created and established. The commission shall be subject to the requirements of Section 1-233, Broward County Code of Ordinances, as may be amended from time to time.

(b)

The commission shall be dedicated to identifying and resolving economic, health, social, and all other issues concerning women's lives through education and advocacy.

(c)

The commission shall consist of eighteen (18) members, to be appointed by the County Commission.
