§ 1-82. Acquisition of lands for public purposes authorized.

Broward County, acting by and through its board of county commissioners, is hereby authorized to acquire lands in Broward County, Florida, by purchase, gift or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain, wherever it is deemed by the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida, that it is to the best interests of the county and of the general public that the lands to be purchased or condemned will serve a public purpose and use and that it is to the best interests of the county and the public that title to said lands be acquired in the name of the county to be used for such purpose or purposes.
