Article XXXII. NORTH DISTRICT REGIONAL WASTEWATER ADVISORS BOARD |
§ 1-542. Membership.
(a)
Representation. The membership of the North District Regional Wastewater Advisory Board shall be composed as follows: One (1) member of the advisory board shall be the director of the Broward County Water and Wastewater Division, or his designee, who shall act as chairperson. In addition, there shall be one (1) member representing each of the municipalities or private utility companies which constitute the large users of the wastewater facilities, and who shall be nominated and appointed by the individual governing bodies of the above. Any member of the advisory board may appoint a designee to attend any meeting of said board in the event the member is unable to attend.
(b)
Terms of members. All members of the North District Regional Wastewater Advisory Board shall serve at the will of their respective nominating authorities.
(c)
Additional members. It is the specific intent of the board of county commissioners that each municipality or private utility company utilizing the wastewater transmission, treatment and disposal facilities of the North District, shall have one (1) member representing its interests on the North District Regional Wastewater Advisory Board. To that end, one (1) member, over and above those required by subsection (a), may be nominated and appointed to the North District Regional Wastewater Advisory Board by each municipality or private utility company or special district which connects into the North District wastewater transmission, and/or treatment and disposal facilities pursuant to a Large User Agreement executed subsequent to the effective date hereof.
