§ 26-93. Status of present employees.

Employees holding their present positions in the classified civil service herein for six (6) months or more immediately prior to the adoption of Ordinance Number 75-20 shall be considered permanent employees and shall be continued in their respective positions until separated from their positions as provided by this article or the civil service rules and regulations. Those holding their positions in the classified civil service less than six (6) months immediately prior to the adoption of this article shall serve a probationary period as prescribed by the personnel policies, but shall not be required to take an examination for the position they occupy. Time already spent in the position shall be credited toward completion of the probationary period.
