§ 27-287. Notification required.

(a)

Any person engaging in the following open burning activities authorized under this article must notify the EPGMD at least five (5) working days prior to the initiation of open burning activities using the form provided by the EPGMD:

(1)

Operation of air curtain incinerator(s); or

(2)

Any other municipal, industrial, commercial, and research open burning.

(b)

Any person engaging in open burning for training of firefighters authorized under this article must notify the EPGMD at least ten (10) working days in advance as specified in Subsection 27-286(c)(2)e.

(c)

This article does not relieve any person from providing notification or obtaining authorization to conduct any open burning activity, when necessary, from the Florida Division of Forestry, or any local fire control authority.
