§ 29-47. Organization of commissioners; clerical assistants.

The commissioners shall organize on the same day as the board of public instruction holds its organizational meeting as provided by law, and for the same term elect from their membership a chairman and a secretary. The commissioners may appoint a vice-chairman to serve in the absence of the chairman and may employ the necessary clerical assistants who shall be paid by the board of public instruction in the same manner as other county employees are paid. The compensation and appointment of clerical assistants shall be fixed by the commission, subject to the recommendation of the superintendent and approval of the board of public instruction.
