§ 30-253.1. Adoption, revision and revocation of plan of improvement or reclamation.

  • In addition to and not in limitation of its power to provide for and adopt a plan of improvement or reclamation provided in section 15 [30-253] herein or under Chapter 298, F.S., and amendments thereto, the board may at any time and from time to time adopt, revoke, or modify in whole or in part any plan of reclamation or any plan providing for the construction of roads upon or the drainage of lands within the district, and may provide for such new and additional drainage facilities, canals, ditches, levees, roads and other works as the board may determine. In connection with the revision of any plan of reclamation or the providing of any new or additional road or drainage facilities, canals, ditches, levees, or other works, or in the event the total taxes and assessments theretofore levied or the funds derived from the sale of bonds are insufficient to pay the cost of any drainage works, benefits may be reassessed, additional assessments made and taxes levied in accordance with the procedures provided in this act or in Chapter 298, F.S. The board may at any time approve and make effective technical changes or modifications in any plan of improvement or reclamation not affecting assessed benefits, levy of taxes or the security of bondholders.
