§ 4-26. Ownership of wild animals prohibited.

(a)

No person shall own or harbor any wild animal as a pet without the appropriate state permits provided for in Section 379.3762, Florida Statutes.

(b)

Zoological parks, performing animal exhibitions, and circuses which utilize wild animals in their performances or exhibitions shall be exempt from the provisions of this section.
