§ 8-15. Establishment of fund; annual appropriation.

  • The Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida, may establish, as an item of its general fund, an emergency fund for the purposes of repairing, restoring or reconstructing county roads damaged by hurricane, windstorm, or flood, and removal of debris resulting from hurricanes, windstorms or floods; may appropriate thereto such funds in each fiscal year as it may deem advisable, said funds being under its control and not raised for or appropriated to any other purpose; and may authorize disbursements therefrom for said purposes. Said board of county commissioners may accumulate such fund and may add to such fund yearly in the same manner, or by raising such an amount in the tax levy as it may annually determine.
