§ 9-128. Unlicensed contractor enforcement fund.

  • The Unlicensed Contractor Enforcement Fund is hereby created. Pursuant to Sections 489.127 and 489.531, Florida Statutes, forty-five percent (45%) of any civil penalty or fine recovered by the County in an action against an uncertified contractor shall be deposited in this Unlicensed Contractor Enforcement Fund to support future enforcement activities against unlicensed contractors and public education regarding unlicensed contracting. The County shall retain the interest earned on monies within the Unlicensed Contractor Enforcement Fund as discretionary revenue to defray the cost of administration, collection, and disbursement.
