§ 8.11. Plat ordinance.

A.

The legislative body of each Municipality and the County Commission shall create a mandatory plat ordinance. The County Commission shall enact an ordinance establishing standards, procedures and minimum requirements to regulate and control the platting of lands located in the County. In addition, the governing body of each Municipality may enact an ordinance establishing additional standards, procedures, and requirements as may be necessary to regulate and control the platting of lands within its boundaries.

B.

The County Commission must approve plats of land lying within the County prior to recording the plat in the County's Official Records.
