§ 9-53. Qualifications for journeyman plumber.
(a)
In order to be eligible to receive certification from the board as a journeyman plumber, the applicant shall demonstrate possession of the skill, knowledge, and ability to install, maintain, repair, alter, extend, and construct plumbing systems in accordance with the building code and all other applicable codes and regulations. The applicant shall have no less than four (4) years of practical plumbing experience. The board may, in its sole discretion, consider a person's formal or vocational education as experience in the trade.
(b)
A person certified as a journeyman plumber by the board shall work under the supervision and direction of a master plumber.
