§ 1-385. Meetings and organization.

  • (a)

    The Water Advisory Board shall establish at its discretion the time and place for holding its meetings, and it shall adopt such rules of organization and procedure as may be required. The Water Advisory Board at its discretion may establish such subcommittees as the Water Advisory Board deems necessary and may appoint nonmembers to such subcommittees in order to obtain input from technical and scientific experts or other segments of the public interested in the development, use, and management of the County's water resources. The Water Advisory Board shall conduct its meetings pursuant to Section 1-233, Broward County Code of Ordinances ("Code"), except that primary and alternate members who are appointed by other agencies are exempt from Section 1-233(e) of the Code which requires the automatic removal of such members after a fixed number of absences.

    (b)

    Quorum of the Water Advisory Board shall consist of fifty percent (50%) plus one of the total appointed board members, excluding alternate members unless that alternate is attending in place of an absent primary member.
